We're hiring a Structural Fitter for our Northwest Houston area client! We are looking for experienced structural fabrication professionals with strong fit-up and Flux Core welding skills who are ready to interview immediately!
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
Job Title: Structural Fitter
Location: Northwest Houston, TX 77041
Pay: $19.00–$28.00/hour (based on experience and skill level)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Description of Duties: Perform structural steel fitting, layout, and fit-up of fabricated components and assemblies in a heavy industrial shop environment. Measure, position, align, and secure structural components according to fabrication drawings and specifications. Perform Flux Core (FCAW) welding and tack welding as needed during the fitting and fabrication process. Use measuring, fitting, cutting, grinding, and welding tools to ensure proper alignment and dimensional accuracy before final welding.
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of Flux Core (FCAW) welding experience with hands-on structural fit-up experience required. Candidates must have experience fitting and fabricating structural steel or similar heavy fabricated components. Must be comfortable taking accurate measurements, performing fit-ups, and using common fabrication and welding tools.
This position is not intended for pipe fitters/welders or small-parts welders; candidates should have direct structural fabrication experience. Must be able to successfully complete any required fitting and/or welding skills tests.
