About this position
Barra Santos is looking for a warm, organized, and hospitality-driven Host to join our front-of-house team.
The Host is the first and last point of contact for our guests and plays an important role in setting the tone for the experience. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable managing a busy door, communicating clearly with guests and the rest of the team, and staying composed and welcoming throughout service.
Responsibilities include managing reservations and the wait list, greeting and seating guests, communicating table status with servers and leadership, maintaining the host stand and entry area, assisting with opening and closing duties, and supporting the FOH team as needed, including bussing tables, running food, and helping with stocking.
A minimum of 1 year of restaurant hosting experience is required. Open table experience is preferred. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a genuine sense of hospitality are essential.
Weekend availability is required. This position will be primarily evening shifts, with occasional weekend lunch shifts as needed.
