About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Principal Gifts and External Engagement. This senior-level role is pivotal in the organization's evolution, with a focus on securing significant philanthropic support and deepening relationships with a defined segment of alumni and donors. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the fundraising process, including prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. They will work closely with the Foundation Relations and International Engagement teams to advance relationships with institutional representatives and international prospects. The role also involves serving as the company's representative in advancing engagement with academic and industry partners, and the ideal candidate will be a skilled convener with a strong understanding of technology, AI, and venture ecosystems. Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include building and managing a high-potential, nine-figure pipeline, and translating institutional strategy into fundraising and regional engagement momentum. The role requires a senior-level relationship builder with a proven track record in philanthropy, including experience with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. The candidate should be adept at collaborating with various teams, maintaining accurate records, and meeting performance metrics. Additionally, the role involves alumni activation, hosting high-visibility events, and identifying strategic partnership opportunities. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, independent, and aligned with the company's priorities and strategies, and will play a critical role in the organization's mission to deliver sustained philanthropic momentum and institutional impact.
