Pipe Welder (MIG / Flux Core)
PAY RANGE: $27-$33/hr + 10% differential for nights
HOURS: 50+ PER WEEK
DURATION: VERY LONG TERM (12+ MONTHS)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Pipe Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality pipe welding in accordance with company and customer specifications.
- Weld carbon steel using MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) processes.
- Complete 6G pipe welds, including open root welds.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Work independently and as part of a production team to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pipe Welder in an industrial, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding.
- Experience performing 6G open root pipe welds.
- Ability to read blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
- Experience working with carbon steel pipe preferred.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment weld test.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
