Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pipe welder to join our team. In this role, you will work in various industrial settings. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities 

  • Inspect and ensure pipe is correctly prepared to make an X-ray quality weld
  • Complete welds in shop and field in all positions
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Work with other construction professionals to complete projects
  • Follow all safety guidelines
  • Complete all welds in a timely matter

Employment requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pipe Welder
  • Have own tools available for daily use, including Stinger, Tig Rig, regulator, welding hood, and bucket
  • Ability to pass 2-inch Schedule 80 6G pipe test in carbon and stainless steel
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (experience may be substituted for education)
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Possess current, valid driver’s license (not under suspension or limitation)
  • Have the transportation means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests throughout employment

Job qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of how mechanical equipment works
  • Knowledge of all relevant health and safety guidelines
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting heavy objects and withstanding temperature extremes found in boilers, paper machines, manufacturing facilities, etc.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed
