Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Shop Supervisor / Lead to launch and direct operations at our new Texas production facility. In this role, you will lead a team of 5–10 fabricators and machinists, oversee daily production quality, and ensure aligned output with our global headquarters.
As the primary onsite leader, you will balance supervisory responsibilities with hands-on fabrication and machining operations during startup, driving safety, quality, and workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up the new workshop facility, equipment layout, workflow processes, and day-to-day operations.
- Supervise production schedules, monitor work quality, and ensure high-end machinery meets strict manufacturing standards.
- Direct, schedule, train, and mentor a team of machinists, welders, and assemblers.
- Actively participate in daily custom fabrication, fitting, machining, and troubleshooting alongside the production team.
- Manage environmental, health, and safety (OSHA) compliance, site inspections, and safe workplace protocols.
- Maintain regular operational alignment with international executive leadership and global supply chains.
Qualifications & Experience
- Trade Background: Journeyman Welder/Fabricator certification, Machinist Red Seal/Apprenticeship, or an Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent hands-on industry trade experience).
- Production Leadership: 3–5+ years of leadership experience as a Shop Foreman, Production Supervisor, or Lead Machinist/Fabricator.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in metal fabrication, steel welding, CNC machining operations, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
- Leadership & Maturity: Strong interpersonal and team-building skills with a proven track record of managing people, schedules, and site operations independently.
- EHS Awareness: Knowledge of US workplace safety regulations (OSHA requirements).
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
