About this position
Amvest Capital Securities LLC is seeking an experienced, FINRA-registered institutional and specialty sales professional with a genuine interest in the critical minerals, precious metals, natural resources, and mining sector to take over and grow an established book of investor relationships. Due to current capacity constraints, the Firm has more investor relationships than it can service effectively — this is an opportunity to step into a warm, proven book of accounts from day one, rather than build a client base from scratch. Our offices are located at 51st Street and Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
The Associate will be assigned an existing book of institutional investor relationships and will be responsible for servicing, retaining, and growing those relationships over time — including placing the Firm's live and upcoming capital markets transactions, alternative asset offerings, and trading opportunities with the assigned accounts.
Responsibilities
• Take ownership of an established book of institutional investor relationships assigned by the Firm and serve as the primary point of contact for those accounts;
• Service, retain, and deepen relationships with the Firm's existing institutional investors, family offices, and other qualified accounts;
• Grow the assigned book by identifying additional investment opportunities for existing relationships and expanding wallet share;
• Distribute and place the Firm's live and upcoming capital markets transactions, including equity offerings, IPOs, private placements, and other alternative asset offerings, and trading opportunities, with assigned investors;
• Schedule and fill non-deal roadshow meetings using the client list provided to the Associate, and support senior bankers on live deal execution for the assigned book;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date investor records in the Firm's CRM/investor database;
• Comply with all Firm policies and procedures, including the Written Supervisory Procedures, Anti-Money Laundering Program, Personal Securities Transactions Policy, and Business Continuity & Cybersecurity Policies; and
• Perform such additional services as reasonably requested by the Managing Directors and Partners.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a commission-based position. The Firm’s good-faith anticipated annual range for this role is $70,000 to $200,000. The Firm will also provide an expense budget to support the Associate’s business development efforts, along with competitive benefits, including healthcare. Final compensation terms will be set out in a written agreement provided at the time of offer.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience;
• The ability to work in person in Midtown Manhattan;
• Successful completion of the SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 (or Series 66) exams, with all required securities registrations active at the time of application;
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and prospecting skills;
• Genuine interest in the critical minerals, precious metals, natural resources, or mining sector and in alternative assets, together with solid working knowledge of finance and capital markets;
• A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development instincts; and
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in wealth management, institutional or specialty sales, at a broker-dealer, or in capital markets, including experience servicing, retaining, or growing institutional investor relationships or a book of accounts.
