Real Estate Company searching for a Director of Finance
A growing commercial real estate firm in the Boca Raton area is seeking a Director of Finance to lead its property accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting functions. This is a hands-on leadership role for a finance professional who can build and develop a strong team while improving processes, controls, and reporting quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead property accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting activities.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate, timely financial statements.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.
- Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting systems.
- Partner with senior leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, reporting requirements, and best practices.
- Support investor communications and provide clear, high-quality financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with significant experience within commercial real estate.
- Proven experience leading and developing an accounting or finance team.
- Strong understanding of property accounting and real estate financial reporting.
- Demonstrated success improving processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- CPA highly preferred.
- Experience with Yardi or other commercial real estate accounting systems is a plus.
