Mechanical Engineering Technician

Location: San Diego, CA 92130
Pay Rate: $25.00

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Follow established testing protocols, procedures, and work instructions accurately and consistently.
• Identify deviations from established test methods, procedures, or expected results and promptly report findings.
• Manually record test data on required forms and enter information into computer systems while maintaining accurate and complete records.
• Monitor testing activities and progress to ensure procedures and documentation requirements are followed.
• Clearly communicate test observations, results, and anomalies to appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with Good Laboratory Practices and established safety procedures.
• Handle chemicals, cleaners, and other materials safely in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and performing testing activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all required quality and safety procedures.

SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
• 100% onsite position.
• Work in accordance with established laboratory, testing, documentation, and safety procedures.
• Must be comfortable working with chemicals and cleaners while following required PPE and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation are essential.

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma required.
• Effective verbal, written, listening, and reading skills in English required.
• Ability to accurately follow established protocols and procedures.
• Ability to identify and communicate deviations, observations, and test anomalies.
• Ability to maintain accurate manual and electronic records.
• Must follow Good Laboratory Practices and all applicable safety procedures.
