Position Summary

We are seeking skilled and dependable Welder / Fabricators to join our shop floor production team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will prepare, cut, fit, and weld structural steel components used in our machinery.

This is a full-time position scheduled to begin in mid-November , with potential for overtime hours.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality structural steel fabrication, fitting, and MIG (GMAW) / Flux-Core (FCAW) welding tasks.
  • Measure, lay out, and cut heavy steel stock accurately according to blueprint specifications.
  • Operate shop equipment including plasma cutting torches, angle grinders, band saws, and overhead cranes.
  • Perform visual weld inspections to ensure compliance with strict shop quality and safety standards.
  • Assist with general shop floor maintenance and heavy assembly as needed.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Technical Background: AWS Certification (eg, AWS D1.1 Structural Welding), Vocational/Trade School certificate, or equivalent hands-on trade experience.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret structural blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.
  • Basic Tech Skills: Familiarity with basic computer input/entry for production tracking.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate power tools, and work in a physically demanding metal shop environment.
  • Equipment Certification: Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Certification / OSHA Operator License is a major plus.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
