A local manufacturer in Sumter, SC is seeking experienced Welders to join the team. This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime and some weekends required
Pay:
- $15.50 – $18.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions
- Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding processes based on project needs
- Weld, install metal sheeting, and other components
- Set up workstations and utilize weld fixtures
- Follow setup and operator instructions when preparing and operating welding machines
- Verify fixtures according to master parts or blueprints
- Weld components at or above standard production rate
- Follow all safety procedures and best practices
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Current welding certification is a plus
- Experience using power tools
- Must pass an onsite weld test
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in awkward positions
- Reliable transportation required
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekends
