Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are an independent medical provider group seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to care for patients at a detox facility in Burns, Tennessee. Our group provides the facility’s medical services, including care during detoxification and weekly clinic appointments with patients.The first days of recovery can be physically and emotionally difficult. We want patients to have a provider who listens, takes their concerns seriously, and helps them feel safe while making careful clinical decisions. You’ll be part of a team that shares knowledge, supports one another, and works together to give patients consistent, thoughtful care. What you’ll do
- Provide on-site medical care five days per week.
- Complete admission assessments and ongoing medical evaluations.
- Assess and manage withdrawal symptoms in accordance with clinical protocols.
- See patients for weekly clinic appointments, address medical concerns, and provide follow-up care.
- Order and review medications, laboratory tests, and other appropriate services within the scope of your license.
- Recognize changes in a patient’s condition and arrange a higher level of care when needed.
- Document care accurately and promptly.
- Work closely with our medical team and the facility’s nursing and treatment staff.
- A Tennessee-licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Appropriate prescriptive authority for the role.
- Experience in detoxification, addiction medicine, behavioral health, emergency medicine, or inpatient care preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
