Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator with 4–5 years of construction safety experience, preferably in concrete construction. This position will be responsible for promoting and enforcing safety policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and supporting field operations across multiple job sites. This is a heavy travel position with a company-provided vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- The position requires extensive travel to job sites nationwide, fulfillment of assigned responsibilities, and regular interaction with staff. Significant travel commitments are inherent to this role.
- Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular job site inspections and safety audits
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports using company software systems
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to proactively address hazards
Qualifications:
- 4–5 years of construction safety experience (concrete construction preferred)
- Strong understanding of concrete tools, equipment, and finishing operations
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software systems
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- CPS (Certified Safety Professional or Concrete-related certification) a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
