About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Institutional Giving to lead its strategic and collaborative efforts in institutional fundraising. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals. This includes leading a high-performing team, establishing revenue targets, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. The role involves overseeing a diverse revenue portfolio, including corporate partnerships, foundation relations, government grants, and various fundraising initiatives. The Vice President will also be instrumental in cultivating long-term partnerships and ensuring the success of key events such as the National Epilepsy Walk and Leadership Conference. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of fundraising leadership experience, with a proven track record of securing significant institutional gifts and partnerships. Strong strategic planning, budgeting, and financial management skills are essential, as is the ability to lead and develop a team. The role requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, as well as the capacity to use data and performance metrics to inform decision-making. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. Experience in a national health, nonprofit, or patient advocacy organization, as well as with peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, is also desirable. The position demands a high level of commitment, including up to 50% domestic travel, and the ability to work during the organization's core business hours.
