Full-Time Position
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Electrician to join our construction team. This position is ideal for an electrician who has strong field experience, can independently manage electrical installations from start to finish, and is comfortable taking a leadership role on construction projects.
The majority of our work is performed on Federal Government and VA projects, so professionalism, reliability, documentation, and the ability to work within secure and occupied facilities are essential.
Experience & Qualifications
10+ years of electrical experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate must be able to:
- Read and fully understand electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.
- Perform and oversee a complete electrical installation from start to finish, including layout, rough-in, equipment installation, terminations, testing, punch list, and closeout.
- Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and sequencing required to successfully complete electrical work.
- Identify conflicts and field conditions before they negatively impact the project.
- Coordinate electrical work with other trades, subcontractors, project management, and facility personnel.
- Develop, maintain, and manage a construction schedule and understand how electrical activities affect the overall project schedule.
- Maintain quality control and ensure installations comply with project documents, applicable codes, and project requirements.
- Work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
- Lead and direct other field personnel when required.
Superintendent Responsibilities
This is more than a traditional electrician position. Depending on the project, the successful candidate may be required to serve as the project Superintendent and oversee portions or all of a construction project.
A strong general construction background is therefore preferred. Candidates should be comfortable coordinating multiple trades, conducting site meetings, maintaining project schedules, documenting progress, coordinating inspections, managing subcontractors, addressing field conditions, and communicating with owners and project management.
Experience working in active hospitals, healthcare facilities, VA facilities, or other Federal Government environments is highly desirable.
Computer & Project Management Skil
Candidates must be comfortable using computers, tablets, and electronic project documentation. Experience with the following is preferred:
- Procore
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Electronic construction drawings and specifications
- Daily reports and project documentation
- Construction scheduling
- RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and project closeout documentation
Government / VA Project Requirements
Because the majority of our projects involve Federal Government and VA facilities, candidates must be able to satisfy applicable background and site-access requirements.
A clean record is required for access to our government project locations.
Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license in good standing and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is not simply an experienced electrician, but a construction professional who can take ownership of a project.
The ideal candidate can review the plans, understand the scope, develop a plan and schedule, coordinate the work, perform and supervise the electrical installation, communicate effectively with the project team, solve problems in the field, and carry the work through final inspection and closeout.
10+ years of experience is preferred, with previous foreman, lead electrician, superintendent, or construction management experience considered a significant advantage.
