Description:

 We are seeking a skilled Stainless Steel Welder to fabricate, assemble, and repair stainless steel components piping, structures, and equipment according to blueprints, welding procedures, and project specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and produces clean, high-quality welds that meet industry standards and customer specifications.  This role requires precision welding skills, strong attention to quality, and adherence to safety standards in industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, or construction environments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality stainless steel welding using processes such as TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Core (FCAW) as required. 
  • Weld stainless steel pipe, tubing, structural components, tanks, handrails, chutes, hoppers, platforms, and fabricated assemblies. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings. 
  • Measure, cut, fit, grind, and prepare materials prior to welding. 
  • Ensure welds meet project specifications, quality standards, and inspection requirements. 
  • Perform sanitary, cosmetic, and structural welds when required. 
  • Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, torches, plasma cutters, saws, and material handling equipment. 
  • Inspect welds for defects and perform repairs or rework as necessary. 
  • Maintain welding machines, tools, and work areas in proper condition. 
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, customer site requirements, and PPE standards. 
  • Work in shop environments or field/job site settings, including outages, shutdowns, or maintenance projects. 
  • Assist with rigging, layout, installation, and assembly of stainless steel systems and components. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed when required. 
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Minimum 2+ years of stainless steel welding experience preferred (or based on company requirements). 
  • Proficiency in TIG welding stainless steel required. 
  • Ability to pass a weld test and welding qualification procedures. 
  • Experience welding various thicknesses of stainless steel materials. 
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools. 
  • Valid driver’s license may be required depending on job assignment. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pipe welding experience preferred. 
  • Experience in industrial, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, food-grade, or maintenance environments. 
  • Current welding certifications preferred (AWS, ASME, or customer/site-specific qualifications). 
  • Experience with purge welding and sanitary stainless welding. 
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. 
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces or elevated areas. 
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when assigned to field projects. 
  • Ability to wear required PPE including welding hood, gloves, respirator, safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toe boots, and fall protection when required. 
Work Environment

Work may be performed in fabrication shops, industrial plants, mines, construction sites, or customer facilities. Employees may be exposed to heat, dust, noise, confined spaces, heights, and changing weather conditions.
