CONTRACT-TO-HIRE
ParkerBeth Search Partners is partnering with an established renewable energy company to identify a junior-level Civil Drafter. This position will support the civil engineering team with site drawings for solar projects and is well suited for an early-career drafter looking for hands-on training and long-term growth.
Location: Modesto, CA or Naperville, IL
Pay: $31–$36 per hour DOE
Schedule: Contract-to-Hire | In-Office

What You Will Own
- Produce and revise site civil drawings
- Assist with site layouts, grading plans, and drainage drawings
- Incorporate engineering markups and project revisions
- Maintain accurate drawing files and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with civil engineering and project team members
- Learn the company’s drafting standards and solar site requirements
What You Bring
- Education or training in civil drafting, engineering technology, CAD, or a related field preferred
- Approximately one to two years of civil drafting experience preferred
- Familiarity with site layouts, grading, and drainage
- Experience using civil drafting or CAD software
- Ability to follow engineering direction and incorporate markups
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work from the assigned office regularly
