About the Opportunity

Are you a driven sales and marketing professional who thrives on building relationships, creating compelling content, and turning opportunities into revenue? We’re seeking a **Director of Group Sales & Marketing** to lead group business development and marketing initiatives for a growing collection of boutique hospitality properties in Louisville.

This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who combines proactive sales outreach with creative marketing execution. You’ll identify and secure group bookings, develop strategic partnerships, create engaging content, and implement marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads and drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Group Sales & Business Development

* Identify, prospect, and secure group bookings through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, and in-person visits.

* Develop relationships with corporate clients, event planners, destination management companies, venues, and local hospitality partners.

* Generate business from corporate retreats, weddings, reunions, sports teams, bourbon and entertainment weekends, bachelor and bachelorette groups, and other special events.

* Manage the full sales cycle, from initial inquiry and property tours through proposals, contracts, and deposits.

* Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and provide weekly sales reports and performance updates.

* Deliver prompt, personalized responses to incoming inquiries and requests for proposals.

* Coordinate group experiences, welcome events, post-stay follow-ups, reviews, and opportunities for repeat business.

Marketing & Content Creation

* Manage social media channels across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.

* Create original photo and video content, write engaging captions, and develop a consistent content calendar.

* Develop email marketing campaigns, lead-nurture sequences, and targeted offers that generate inquiries and bookings.

* Build and grow email lists through downloadable guides, planning resources, and other lead-generation tools.

* Coordinate on-property marketing activations, planner open houses, and partnership events designed to attract new business.

* Develop and manage paid advertising campaigns across Google and Meta following initial training.

* Track marketing performance, identify effective lead sources, and optimize campaigns based on measurable results.

Guest Communication & Relationship Management

* Respond to guest messages, booking inquiries, and guest concerns within five minutes or less, including evenings and weekends.

* Participate in a rotating weekend guest-phone schedule approximately every third weekend.

* Coordinate with operations to resolve guest concerns and escalate financial or safety issues appropriately.

* Collaborate with leadership to maintain brand consistency and deliver an excellent guest experience.

Qualifications

* Experience in sales, business development, marketing, hospitality, or a related field.

* Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, manage a sales pipeline, and close business.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Experience creating social media content, including photography, video, and copywriting.

* Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and digital marketing tools.

* Ability to analyze lead sources, track results, and connect marketing activities to revenue.

* Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently.

* Willingness to work on-site in Louisville and participate in a rotating weekend guest-communication schedule.

* A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

What Success Looks Like

* Establishing a consistent outbound sales and property-tour routine.

* Building a qualified pipeline of group business and securing an initial group booking within the first 90 days.

* Launching a consistent social media and email marketing program.

* Developing strategic relationships with local planners, businesses, venues, and hospitality partners.

* Increasing inquiries and bookings through measurable, effective marketing initiatives.

* Contributing to annual group revenue and long-term business growth.

The Ideal Candidate

You’re a relationship builder, a creative marketer, and a results-oriented salesperson who enjoys taking ownership from strategy through execution. You’re equally comfortable making prospecting calls, touring a property with a potential client, filming engaging content, and analyzing campaign performance.
