Medical Assistant / Office Coordinator — Medi-Weightloss Algonquin
Full Time

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Every day at our clinic, someone hits a goal they've been chasing for years. They lose the weight. They get off the medication. They feel like themselves again. You're a big part of why that happens.

You're the energy patients feel the moment they walk in, and the steady hands that check their vitals and give their injection. You're the voice that keeps them on track between visits, and the person who makes sure every appointment, every payment, every follow-up happens exactly the way it should. This is a hybrid role — part clinical, part front office — for someone who wants to do both and do them well.

Don't take our word for it — read our Google reviews at https://rb.gy/sra8pc and see what patients say about the experience we deliver. You'd be protecting and building that reputation every single day.

NON-NEGOTIABLES

These are not preferences, not nice-to-haves. If they don't describe you, this isn't the right fit.

  • Thrives at multi-tasking — you stay sharp when everything is moving at once, clinical and administrative

  • Handles stress well — busy days don't rattle you, they motivate you

  • Always on time — punctuality is non-negotiable, every single day

  • Self-accountable — you own your work without being reminded

  • Comfortable with sales — you can have a value conversation without flinching

  • Comfortable with hands-on patient care — injections, vitals, and lab work don't faze you

WHAT YOUR DAY ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

Clinical care

  • Obtain and accurately record patient vitals

  • Administer IM injections

  • Perform urinalysis, EKGs, phlebotomy, and body composition testing

  • Prepare and manage lab orders and results

  • Document patient progress in the EMR in real time

Front desk & scheduling

  • Open the clinic and set the tone — scrub the schedule, prep encounter forms, check supplies, and make sure everything is ready before the first patient walks in

  • Check patients in, complete assessments, collect payments, and communicate balances in real time

  • Own the phones — confirming appointments, calling no-shows, converting new leads into booked visits, and following up on overdue patients every week

  • Keep the schedule full and tight — reschedule cancellations fast, book midweek injections, and make sure no patient falls through the cracks

Sales & patient support

  • Sell injection packages, vitamins, shakes, and supplements by educating patients on what actually moves the needle for their results

  • Conduct follow-up calls to review progress and address concerns

  • Ask for Google reviews at the right moments — after milestones, great visits, and patient wins

Closing out

  • Reconcile payments, count the cash drawer, submit claims, review billing, and make sure tomorrow's schedule is clean

  • Maintain daily inventory for clinical and office supplies

YOU'LL FIT RIGHT IN IF...

  • You have (or are willing to obtain) Medical Assistant training/certification and are comfortable with injections, vitals, and basic clinical procedures

  • You've worked in a clinic, medical office, or any fast-paced patient or customer-facing role

  • You're a natural on the phone — warm, confident, and persistent without being pushy

  • You pick up new software quickly and don't need three trainings to get it

  • You document everything in real time and take pride in a clean, accurate record

  • You genuinely enjoy being around people and helping them feel taken care of

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A team that genuinely celebrates patients — and each other

  • Opportunity to grow into a leadership role

  • Two locations and growing — real room to grow with us

  • Work that means something — patients achieve things here they've been trying to do for years

Pay: $20–$25/hr, based on experience and clinical certification
