Welding:
- Perform all process, steps, & operations under the protocol of Safety First, and will not take any unnecessary chances to skip, modify, or ignore safety based steps or processes
- Perform high production tacking operations in fixture based settings
- Perform complicated Weld off where others have completed the lay-out and tacking process
- Perform rudimentary lay-out (non fixtured) and tacking functions for others to weld off
- Be able to execute simple weld projects without direct oversight from Welding Team Leader
- Contribute in a Productive manor to the overall output of the department.
- Weld under the guidance, training, and direction of the Welding Team Leader
- Learn to read, understand, and follow shop drawings provided as a part of the Work Order Process
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Wear proper clothing and PPE at all times while in the manufacturing area(s)
- Weld at all times with proper and professional welding based PPE
- Provide assistance to other work areas on as needed or required basis
- Show-up at your work station: At the prescribed starting time; Dressed & ready to weld; and Be present during all scheduled working hours
- Work Overtime on an as needed or scheduled basis
- Keep and work in a clean well organized work station or environment
Other Skill Requirements:
- Read, use, and perform lay-out with a Tape Measure
- Convert all 1/8 and 1/16 inch fractions to their decimal equivalent (and vise versa)
- Read, use, and demonstrate proper use of a Caliper
- Follow and execute both oral and written instructions
