Electrical Installation Technician
Location: Hicksville, NY
Service Area: Nassau County & Suffolk County

Best Quality Electric is a Long Island electrical contractor providing residential and commercial electrical installation, repair, and service. We take pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail, continued learning, and creating a professional experience for every customer.
We are looking for an Electrical Installation Technician to perform residential electrical installation and repair work under the direction of the Electrical Advisor or Install Manager. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, safety-conscious, organized, professional, and respectful of customers' homes.
What You'll Do
- Install, assemble, test, and maintain residential electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and components.
- Install and connect circuit breakers, panels, switches, outlets, conduit, boxes, grounding systems, and power cables.
- Diagnose electrical issues and inspect systems for hazards, defects, and necessary repairs.
- Test circuits and electrical systems to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Plan and complete installations according to specifications, NEC requirements, and applicable local codes.
- Follow instructions from the Electrical Advisor and Install Manager.
- Protect customers' homes using appropriate floor and work-area protection.
- Keep work areas, tools, and company vehicles clean and organized.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused approach.
What We're Looking For
- 3-4+ years of verifiable residential electrical service, repair, or installation experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, NEC/NFPA standards, safety practices, and applicable local codes.
- Familiarity with lighting systems and residential building requirements.
- Basic math, reading, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Appropriate electrical trade tools.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders up to 26 feet.
- Availability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and in various field conditions as needed.
- Ability to complete applicable pre-employment screening, consistent with local law.
Pay & Benefits
- Full-time, W-2 position
- $62,000 to $100,000+ per year, based on experience
