About this position

TIN’s is an ambitious cocktail bar and restaurant concept in the Lower East Side. Led by an award-winning ownership team, we’re seeking an experienced, highly motivated and deeply passionate General Manager to lead this innovative hybrid space and help write our next chapter.

This is a full operational leadership role. The GM owns the business day to day, including service, people, systems, and financial performance. They work directly with ownership to set direction for the venue. We deliver elite-level hospitality in a vibrant environment—and we are looking for someone who genuinely loves building culture, taking total ownership, and crafting memorable guest moments.

A defining feature of Tin’s is its progressive, technique-driven prep program. Because the menu and beverage offerings are highly focused, much of the work happens behind the scenes. That includes fermentation, syrup development, clarification and stabilization, and advanced cocktail prep. The GM is accountable for the systems, staffing, and cost control that keep this program running at a high standard.

The role suits a proven GM or a senior AGM from a serious cocktail bar or restaurant. You should have already run a floor, a team, and a P&L, and want a venue where technique and hospitality matter equally.

Schedule: 50+ hours per week

Availability: Nights and weekends required

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Financial Performance: Own day-to-day operations across our multi-level venue with a sharp eye for numbers and profitability. Manage the P&L, labor budget, and COGS, and drive revenue and margin targets. Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships. Maintain compliance with DOH, SLA, and labor regulations.

• Leadership & Team Building: Lead the full FOH and bar teams and the management team with a strong sense of ownership. Hire, train, develop, and retain staff. Build a collaborative, high-performing culture grounded in hospitality, accountability, and genuine passion. Be a visible, hands-on leader during peak service.

• Training & Development: Ensure comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training across all departments, upholding elite service, hospitality standards, and brand representation.

• Document Management: Oversee appropriate sharing, maintenance, and discretionary management of all internal operational documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and recipes.

• Prep Program Oversight: Hold accountability for the prep program in partnership with bar and culinary leadership. Set production systems, batching standards, quality control, and costing for syrups, ferments, and clarified cocktails.

• Events & Private Bookings Management: Oversee the end-to-end planning, marketing coordination, and flawless execution of private events, buyouts, and large-scale parties to drive incremental revenue and brand visibility.

• Guest Experience & Cocktail Program: Ensure seamless integration between the dining room, bar, and prep systems. Uphold service standards and protect the integrity of the cocktail program. Grow a loyal regular base.

• Systems, Software & Reporting: Highly admin-savvy, maintaining and optimizing operational systems. Oversee daily reporting, weekly performance syncs, and monthly financial reviews with ownership. Maintain high proficiency in industry software including but not limited to Toast, MarginEdge, and similar management platforms.

Ideal Candidate

• 4+ years of management experience in high-volume bars, cocktail lounges, or restaurants, including at least 2 years as GM or senior AGM

• Possesses a deep sense of ownership, treating the venue as their own business, with high motivation and genuine passion for hospitality and craft cocktails

• Highly sensitive to numbers, with proven P&L ownership, including labor, COGS, and financial budgeting/forecasting

• Track record of hiring and developing strong teams and managers

• Strong floor presence and the ability to lead service in fast-paced environments

• Deep curiosity about cocktails, food, and technique-driven operations

• Highly organized with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and proficient with platforms like Toast, MarginEdge, etc.

• Background in handling private events and group bookings is preferred

• Experience with an opening is a plus

Compensation: Base salary of $100,000–$105,000, plus performance incentives on private events and a performance bonus of up to $5,000 tied to P&L targets. Expected total annual compensation: $112,500–$115,000.
