If you are a traveling electrician who goes where the work is, likes big commercial projects, and wants to keep earning without wondering where the next job is coming from, this Traveling Journeyman Electrician opportunity was built for you.

This is W2 employment, not independent contractor work. You get the earning opportunity that comes with traveling electrical work, including overtime and per diem for eligible employees, plus the stability and benefits of being a company employee.

$45 to $48 per hour plus overtime at 1.5x plus daily workday per diem.

Earn ~ $4,000 a week.

Working six 10-hour days, total earnings potential is approximately $4,200 to $4,410 per week, or $218,000 to $229,000 annualized.

Traveling Journeyman Electrician – Your Job Duties

As a Traveling Journeyman Electrician, you will perform hands on commercial electrical work on site and work independently with limited supervision. You will:

  • Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on commercial and industrial projects (3/4” and 1” EMT)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, schematics, and electrical diagrams – data center new build installing fire electrical
  • Perform layout and complete electrical installations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems, equipment, and components
  • Ensure electrical work complies with NEC requirements, safety regulations, and project specs
  • Help direct and train Electrical Apprentices in the field as needed

Traveling Journeyman Electrician – You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)

You have:

  • A valid Journeyman Electrician license
  • Prior experience performing hands on commercial or industrial electrical work
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes and electrical regulations
  • Experience reading electrical blueprints, schematics, plans, and diagrams
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre employment background and drug screening

You might have:

  • Prior experience as a Lead Electrician or directing Electrical Apprentices
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Prior experience working on data center projects or other large scale commercial / industrial

Traveling Journeyman Electrician – Benefits for You

You will be hired as a W2 employee rather than an independent contractor, giving you access to company benefits including health insurance, paid holidays and benefit package. After the current project concludes, there is an opportunity to keep traveling with the company and continue onto another project in New Mexico anticipated to last approximately 18 months.
