Title: MIG Welder
Type: Direct hire
Pay: $22-$26, based on experience
Shift: 1st shift, Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm (optional OT)
Backgrounds: Reviewed on a case by case basis
POSITION SUMMARY: Welders and fabricators work hands-on with a variety of raw materials to build custom metal products for a diverse client base. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and pride in craftmanship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fabricate and weld custom metal components from drawings to concepts
- Perform MIG welding on steel, aluminum and stainless steel
- Use hand and power tools to cut, grind, fit and finish material
- Read and interpret blueprints, measurements and work order
- Operate shop equipment safely
- Assemble finished products with accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency with MIG Welding
- Experience using: handheld grinders, drill presses and cordless drills, basic hand tools, measuring tools, torch and plasma cutter
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and quality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
