About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Social Impact Fellowship. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic, programmatic, financial, and operational leadership for this flagship initiative. This role involves setting and owning the multi-year growth strategy, leading the Fellowship's programmatic direction, and representing the Fellowship to senior leadership and external audiences. The Executive Director will also be involved in curriculum design, setting the national recruitment strategy, and overseeing the impact measurement framework. A key aspect of the position is to maintain senior-level relationships across the institution and with external partners, as well as to manage the program's budget and staff. Applicants must have a minimum of a college or university degree in a related field, with at least 7 years' of work experience, and a preference for those with 15 years' of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, program development, and scaling complex initiatives. Experience in higher education administration, public policy, or related fields is essential, as is the ability to coordinate with senior academic leaders and manage staff and consultant relationships. The role requires excellent communication skills, an entrepreneurial orientation toward program-building, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems. The Executive Director will be expected to work with minimal oversight, exercise sound independent judgment, and be prepared for a Chicago-based role with a hybrid work arrangement, including some evening and weekend work and an estimated 10% overnight travel.
