About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Commercial Analytics to spearhead a dynamic team focused on market analytics, transmission commercialization, resource adequacy analysis, and customer-facing commercial insights within North American power markets. The successful candidate will be a player-coach leader, responsible for team development, strategic direction, and hands-on analytical execution. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of commercial analysts and market modeling professionals, ensuring the quality and commercial viability of analytical work, and driving advanced commercial analysis to support various infrastructure and development opportunities. The role also involves overseeing market scenario development, supporting strategic decision-making, and presenting analytical findings to senior stakeholders. Applicants for the Vice President, Commercial Analytics position at the company should have 15-25 years' of experience in power market, commercial analytics, or resource adequacy, with a minimum of 7 years' in a leadership role. Deep knowledge of a major ISO/RTO and experience in IPPs, utilities, transmission developers, advisory firms, or sophisticated power market consultancies are essential. The role requires a proven track record in leading analytical teams, strong command of transmission economics, capacity markets, and production cost modeling workflows, as well as exceptional communication skills with executive presence. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing third-party consultants, translating complex quantitative data into commercial insights, and will be instrumental in driving the company's strategic initiatives in the rapidly evolving power market landscape.
