About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Operational Risk Management with a focus on the Risk Mitigation Framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of initiatives related to Vendor Risk Management (VRM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) programs. This role requires a strategic approach to managing the VRM framework, including the central vendor repository, and ensuring effective vendor risk mitigation plans. The VP will also be involved in leading training initiatives, staying abreast of industry developments and regulatory requirements, and maintaining reporting for senior management. Strong project management skills are essential for driving process improvements and expanding the program's capabilities. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in financial services risk management or a related field. Detailed knowledge of third-party risk management, internal controls, and regulatory requirements is necessary. The ideal candidate will have certifications such as the Operational Risk Management Certificate, Certified Third Party Risk Management Professional (C3PRMP), or Project Management (PMP). Experience with operational loss causes, measures, and mitigation strategies, as well as with third-party risk management systems, is preferred. The role demands an individual who is assertive, self-motivated, and team-oriented, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The candidate should be adept at managing multiple projects, be highly resourceful, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
