Job Description
The Process and Product Development Engineer advances manufacturing processes and product designs from concept through production. The role combines product design, process development, engineering change management, and cross-functional team leadership.
Responsibilities include:
- Process development and trouble shooting.
- Leading Lean continuous improvement activities in production
- New product development to meet customer specifications, including CAD design and drawings.
- Coordinating product and process modifications with OEMs and internal teams – engineering change system management (ECR)
- Coordination of sample creation
- Participation in the company safety team to improve our processes to protect our associates.
- Assist in evaluation of sample products for fit, form, and function.
- Active team member in the creation of the future state of our factory
Minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field of study
- Process improvement and troubleshooting experience, utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods.
- English proficiency
- ERP familiarity
- A willingness and eagerness to learn about new processes and products.
Preferred experience includes:
- Product development and validation experience
- Automotive OEM project management experience
- Understanding of carpet manufacturing processes
- CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD experience/training
