About the PositionOur client is seeking a dependable Class A CDL driver for a local heavy equipment delivery position in Louisville. This is a home-daily opportunity involving the transportation and securement of construction and industrial equipment.
Pay & Schedule- $30 per hour
- Overtime available after 40 hours
- Monday through Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays
- 6:30 a.M. start time
- 9- to 10-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week
- Weekly pay
- Local routes with home-daily scheduling
- Heavy equipment freight
- Equipment may include boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, skid steers, and light towers
- Heavy touch freight requiring chaining and strapping equipment
- Automatic transmission equipment
- Operator certifications provided for forklifts, telehandlers, and boom lifts
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local delivery routes
- Load, unload, chain, and strap heavy equipment securely
- Transport construction and industrial equipment to customer locations
- Perform physically demanding loading and securement tasks
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members
- Maintain a dependable work schedule and positive attitude
- Valid Class A CDL
- 6+ months of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- 6+ months of construction industry experience
- Heavy equipment experience required;
boom lift and forklift experience strongly preferred - Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
