Pittsburgh, PA | Hybrid opportunity with a balanced schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Note:
You must be admitted and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar and have at least 1 year of litigation experience. We are hiring attorneys at multiple experience levels, including candidates with approximately 2 to 6 years of experience and more experienced attorneys with 4+ years. Insurance defense experience is strongly preferred, but attorneys with relevant in-house litigation experience will also be considered.

Job Description
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including insurance defense, personal injury, property damage, contract disputes, negligent security, liquor liability, and related matters.
- Manage cases from initial preparation through discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop thoughtful, effective litigation strategies.
- Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings.
- Collaborate with partners and fellow attorneys to develop and execute case strategy.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Manage caseloads efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality legal work.
- Stay current on relevant legal developments and apply sound judgment to client matters.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing.
- 1+ year of litigation experience required.
- Approximately 2 to 6 years of experience ideal for one opening and 4+ years for another.
- Insurance defense litigation experience preferred.
- Relevant in-house litigation experience will also be considered.
- Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, communication, and case management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative legal team.
- Trial experience or a genuine interest in developing trial skills is a plus.
