Job Description

Job Description

Elite Construction Services is hiring a licensed electrician for residential and light commercial work in the Phoenix metro (Surprise, Scottsdale, Phoenix, and nearby). This is a hands-on field role, not a new-construction wire-pulling job. We need someone who can replace service panels, install and feed subpanels, and diagnose problems without guessing.

What you’ll do

•  Replace and upgrade residential service panels (100A–400A) including load calculations, bonding/grounding, and clean changeovers

•  Install subpanels in garages, additions, shops, and outbuildings; size feeders, breakers, and grounding correctly

•  Run new dedicated circuits (240V appliances, water heaters, HVAC, shops)

•  Troubleshoot no-power, nuisance trips, loose neutrals, overloaded panels, aluminum branch issues, and failed devices

•  meet city officials for inspections, and leave work inspection-ready

•  Work with our remodeling crews on garage conversions, additions, and tenant improvements

•  Communicate clearly with the owner and homeowners: what’s wrong, what’s safe, what it costs

Must-have skills

•  Strong, recent experience replacing main service panels (not just adding a breaker)

•  Proven subpanel installs: feeder sizing, disconnects, grounding electrode systems, voltage drop

•  Real troubleshooting ability — meter work, not parts-swapping

•  Ability to read a panel, a load, and a jobsite and make a safe plan

•  Clean, code-compliant workmanship (NEC + local amendments)

•  Valid Arizona electrical license (or ability to work under our qualifying party if you are a strong journeyman.

•  Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and tools for service work

•  Comfortable in occupied homes and active remodel sites

Nice to have

•  ROC-licensed or currently working toward it

•  Experience with heat-pump water heaters, EV circuits, and garage electrical upgrades

•  Ability to write simple scopes and material lists

•  Bilingual English/Spanish

Schedule & pay

•  Full-time, field-based, Phoenix metro

•  Pay: $30–$40 per hour DOE

•  Overtime on permitted changeouts and inspection days as needed

How to apply Apply on ZipRecruiter with:

1.  License type and number (or “journeyman, no AZ license yet”)

2.  Two recent panel-replacement or subpanel jobs you ran (address not required — just size and what you did)

3.  Phone number we can reach the same day

No license mills. No “I watch YouTube.” If you can replace a panel, land a subpanel, and find a bad neutral, we want to talk.
