About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Executive Officer for Project Management with a focus on traffic engineering. The successful candidate will be a senior leader responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of major capital construction projects, particularly those with a strong emphasis on traffic engineering and construction traffic management in urban infrastructure. This role involves strategic leadership in planning, design coordination, and construction management, ensuring projects meet schedule and budget objectives. The DEO will also be involved in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and will be expected to have a deep understanding of traffic engineering principles, as well as experience in managing mass transit projects. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years of senior management-level experience in the design and/or construction of major capital projects. A California Professional Engineer license is also preferred. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in traffic engineering, including experience in developing and overseeing construction traffic management plans, and a thorough understanding of local traffic management procedures and regulatory standards. The DEO will be responsible for setting and implementing project policies, procedures, and safety standards, and must be adept at managing and providing quality oversight of multiple consultants. The position demands a leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, who can effectively represent the company in various professional settings.
