About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Human Resources to lead the strategic and operational aspects of the HR function. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving the firm's people strategy across the entire employee lifecycle, from compensation and benefits to talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and formalizing the firm's HR processes, with a focus on creating a cohesive and effective HR infrastructure. This includes owning the firm's HR technology strategy, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with regulatory HR standards. The role also involves overseeing the firm's office facilities function, providing strategic direction, and managing vendor relationships. Candidates for the Managing Director of Human Resources position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with an MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred, and at least 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience. A minimum of five years in a senior HR leadership role is required, with a background in financial services, professional services, or a similar knowledge-intensive environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading HR in a firm of comparable scale and be adept at managing the cultural and operational dynamics of a client-facing business. Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous situations are essential. Experience in a founder-led or family-run business environment is also a plus.
