Verse is a destination for exceptional hospitality, thoughtfully curated dining, and memorable guest experiences. We’re looking for a welcoming, polished, and detail-oriented Host to join our team and help create an outstanding first impression for every guest who walks through our doors.

Position Overview

As the Host at Verse, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play an essential role in setting the tone for their experience. The ideal candidate has previous experience using OpenTable, understands the importance of thoughtful guest relations, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard restaurant environment.

We’re looking for someone who is personable, organized, professional, and passionate about delivering genuine hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest profiles using OpenTable.
• Maintain an accurate and organized reservation book while managing table flow and pacing.
• Communicate effectively with management, servers, and the service team to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences with care and attention to detail.
• Maintain awareness of the dining room, waitlist, and overall guest experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful, personalized service.
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance and a welcoming presence at all times.
• Help ensure every guest receives the high level of hospitality Verse is known for.

Qualifications

• Previous host experience in a restaurant, preferably in an upscale or fine-dining environment.
• OpenTable experience is required.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent customer service and hospitality instincts.
• Professional demeanor with a warm, approachable personality.
• Ability to remain calm, attentive, and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate guest needs.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
